Lengalia is an online school for Spanish, which is specialized on the imparting of the Spanish language as a foreign language (ELE).

Lengalia was founded in 2011 by José Delgado, who is a Spanish teacher and the principal of  the school Vita Lingua. The latter was set up to teach the pupils who want to learn Spanish in Hamburg. The whole team of teachers has more than 17 years of experience in teaching pupils and that has enabled the development of the virtual platform to learn Spanish.

The teaching contents of the courses, which are offered by Lengalia and developed by Vita Lingua, were tested, subsequently upgraded and checked again in collaboration with our pupils to achieve the best possible result. In this way, Lengalia has been created.

The result of this work is the offer of Spanish courses, which enable on the one hand the learning of  Spanish as a foreign language and on the other hand the imparting of Spanish for special professional aims (ELE and EFE). The guidelines published in 2007 by the European Framework of Reference for Languages are, of course, considered and applied in our courses.

After completing our courses, we focused on the question of how we could set up a system to learn the Spanish language, which disposes of all the devices to learn effectively. We wanted to provide the tool for an excellent language learning process; so we wanted to offer the pupils everything they need, without having to fall back on other websites.

To find a solution to this challenge, we had to program our own platform because the previous possibilities which have already been at hand have not convinced, either technically or didactically. After some busy years, we could finally put online our platform Lengalia in May 2011.
